Exhaust Unisex for Ape Egig 170

Especially on the Ape, strong torque in the low and mid-range RPM is essential. The Unisex exhaust has been engineered precisely to meet these requirements, delivering powerful and smooth power delivery.

The system has already proven itself successfully in the Vespa sector and has now been consistently further developed, maintaining the same technical concept, specifically for use on the Ape.

The exhaust is also compatible with Ape gearboxes in combination with a 26/69 ratio. Alternatively, from a technical standpoint, conversion to a Vespa gearbox with corresponding gearing (58/54/50/46 and secondary shaft 10/14/18/21) is recommended in order to achieve even more harmonious power delivery and optimal power transmission.

In the Unisex project, the focus was clearly placed on torque; this is also reflected in the peak power, which on the Egig170 is already available at 7,000 rpm, while on engines with smaller displacement it is reached approximately 500 rpm later.

In addition, it features a consistent torque curve starting from very low RPM. This allows for straightforward carburetor tuning and makes the engine relatively insensitive to weather conditions and changes in altitude.
